Robert Frost's "Nothing Gold Can Stay"

"Nature's first green is gold,
Her hardest hue to hold.
Her early leaf's a flower;
But only so an hour.
Then leaf subsides to leaf.
So Eden sank to grief,
So dawn goes down to day.
Nothing gold can stay."

Just a brief entry to express how beautiful and poignant this poem is!

  1. Nice poem! My artistic mind loves it, but my logical mind is sayin', "what the..?"

  2. I agree. There is a sense of despair about this poem.
